CEO John Greuling is Vice President for new MEGA Group

Chicago, IL  August 15, 2006 - CEO & President of the CED, John Greuling was announced to be vice president for a new Chicago regional development group called MEGA. It stands for Metro Economic Growth Alliance. George Lofton of ComEd is president of the group.

        The group includes economic developers from 10 other counties surrounding the Chicago land area, including Will, Grundy, Kane and DuPage.  Some of the companies involved are World Business Chicago and ComEd, who assists economic efforts in the Chicago region.

        Greuling referred to MEGA as “a natural extension of a number of relationships that are already out there…What this groups wants to do is add to the bottom line of the entire region.”

       Greuling said the alliance will cooperate as one entity instead of competing with one another.
