CED recognized for their work in Will County with the "AT&T Illinois Beyond the Call Community Award"

Joliet, IL November 3, 2006 – AT&T Illinois announced today the Will County Center for Economic Development, along with two other organizations, has received special recognition for making a difference and improving the quality of life in Will county. The CED is the recipient of the "AT&T Illinois Beyond the Call Community Award". In addition, AT&T executives presented the CED a $2,000 stipend for the outstanding community involvement the company does for Will County.

     AT&T Illinois Director of External Affairs John Quinn commented, "AT&T takes pride in supporting these organizations in the local communities we serve."

     State Senator A.J. Wilhelmi was involved in nominating the CED for the award. He said, "For outstanding work they do, these organizations are truly deserving of this recognition and I commend AT&T Illinois for recognizing the significant contribution their people make to our corner of the state."

     On November 16, the CED will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary at the Holiday Inn in Joliet, located at 411 S. Larkin.
